Herr und Frau Petry

Politics you can touch

This NDR production, a documentary from Eva Müller accompanies Frauke Petry, the former federal chair of the AFD and a central figure of the new German national conservatives. And Sven Petry, a Lutheran pastor by trade in Sachsen, is working to help refugees in a town for 500 people, like tens of thousands of others in Germany. They had been together since school, but the couple, who have four children, have since split up. They don’t get on any more, like currently many others in our country.

Sven Petry lets us escort him through his everyday life. He wants to show where the fear comes from. At the same time (summer 2017) Frauke Petry is campaigning for the AFD in the Ruhr area. She also takes a stand and comments on criticism of her party’s positions.

btf contributed the complete post-production for this project. Editing, sound mixing and all other visual additions such as grading and titles give the film an appropriate framework without distracting from the content.
